We'll be staying at the Hotel Les Hyvans from July 15th until the 19th, 2027. There's no obligation to be there all days, we'll just be there for that long to give you time to pick the days that suit you best. There won't be any special dinner on a special night, it will be an ongoing excuse to bring people together - come hang with us!
We chose this location because of its beautiful views and ability to cater to many people. They have full buffet style breakfast, lunch and dinners available. Activities for young and less young - swimming pools, lake, boats, you get the gist.. Bring your mini ones, Fun for everyone!!

Everyone will book their own stay. Because we will be a larger group, they will provide us with discounted prices.

Located in the two main buildings
Two 35" × 75" single beds or one 63" × 75" double bed

Approximately 270 sq ft
Located in one of the 12 cottages/pavilions
One 63" × 75" double bed and one set of 31" × 75" bunk beds (Suitable for 2 children aged 3–15)
Kids under 2 do not count as a person, and cots will be provided upon request (mattress not included ) along with baby tubs, bottle warmers and high chairs
Children under 12 pay 50% of the adult price
Teens over 16 will be given their own rooms
Teens under 18 don't have to pay French tourist tax
So make sure you mention your exact group composition when you book!!

* Lake View Room: Additional €20 per room, per night, subject to availability.
* (We got a lake view room during our stay here and loved it. The view is incredible)
Prices you can expect for 2 adults sharing a room with breakfast and dinner included for 5 days/4 nights, price per adult about $500 each.

All inclusive buffet-style food and drink options available:
Breakfast buffet will be included in all base room prices and available for everyone.
If you wish to add on lunches and dinners you may do so as well to make your stay fully all-inclusive.
Activities are inclusive in the base room price. This includes all pools, playgrounds, water activities, etc. Check out their website to see what they offer.
How to get there
Depending on Where you'll be coming from, there are a few options available to you.
France is beautiful and driving through is an experience in itself that we recommend.
Plane:
The two closest airports are going to be Grenoble and Marseille and they will be a little bit over a 2 hour drive.
Geneva, Toulouse, Montpellier, Nice, Turin and Milan are in the 3 to 4 hour drive range.
We would recommend checking on all airports as they'll all have different prices.
There are plenty of areas to fly into, and remember you can also take however many days you'd like to get there. Accommodations are relatively cheap throughout France and you'll be able to enjoy the countryside.

For those who are coming from the south or south west and aren't used to driving narrow and twisty roads, We would recommend staying away from D3.
For those who are looking for more twisty or scenic roads, I recommend to look for your way there with the help of this app.
You're in France.. Now what?!?
If you're going to France but know nothing about it, this section is for you.
It might be a good idea to decide what you want to see before choosing the airport you'll land at. Cities like Avignon, Annecy, Nice, Cannes, Aix en Provence, are all beautiful and worth checking out.
Figure out what you enjoy and plan accordingly.
If you enjoy cities and beaches you might want to check out Marseille or Nice, but if you'd rather be in the vineyards or mountains, check out Avignon or les Gorges du Verdon. Plan ahead and do some research, and you won't be disappointed!! We haven't traveled everywhere ourselves, but reach out to us if you need a little more advice and we can try to help.
Regardless of where you'll be going, there's a couple of apps that you can download to help out with finding food and drinks options. The two apps we use are called Le fooding and Raisin. Though, even without those apps, you'll find out that most places will be a really great food experience.
Now that you know where you are going, it's probably time to learn a few French words :-)
As a quick guide, French people do for the most part speak some English, but try to never start a conversation in English. That would be as if I came to the USA and started speaking to an American in French and expected that person to understand me. Instead, starting a conversation with "Bonjour" and mustering the courage to keep on with a few more French words will show that you're trying and most likely the person you're trying to talk to will help you out by speaking to you in English or at least will take the time to try to understand you. A quick google search should give you a few sentences to learn before you arrive. Downloading Google Translate or similar apps are really good, since you can just take a picture of a menu and it will translate it directly in the app along with having the ability to translate on the fly a conversation with someone.
I also always recommend to download maps in offline mode on your phone - I do this in the USA also just in case there's no cell reception wherever you go. Check with your preferred maps app to figure how to do it.
Things to note if you are going to rent an Airbnb during your stay - towels and often bedding are not always included in the price of your stay. It's usually an extra cost. So just as a heads up- make sure to read through the whole listing to see if this is the case.
You do not need to tip your server, though I'm sure they'd be happy, but this is not expected from you, and definitely not 20%!
